DESCRIPTION:Outlon Park has been home to many motor racing events since the 1950′s and has previously hosted the British Touring Car Championship\, British F3 and British Superbikes Championship. This is a unique opportunity to take part in a Half Marathon and to enjoy the thrill of running a brand new course and racing your way to a new chip timed personal best on this smooth traffic free tarmac motor racing circuit! \nEach Mile will be accurately marked out and we have plenty of helpers to keep you quite literally on track and encourage you on your way to that chequered flag finish. Our Best Dressed Tree competition is a firm favourite with our NHS staff so we want to share the joy with our local communities and ask you to sign up to compete to have the Best Dressed Tree this December! \nWe’re looking for trees which celebrate and showcase your team\, school\, group or business and the work that you do. DESCRIPTION:Manchester Salford Quays is the UK Bungee Club’s main bungee jumping site in the North of England and makes a fantastic bungee jumping venue. DESCRIPTION:Every year we are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local communities who buy and donate gifts for people who will spend the festive season in hospital. \nIf you would like to donate a gift please help us by following these guidelines and by choosing items from the list below to ensure we are able to bring a smile to faces young and old this Christmas. \n\nPlease don’t wrap the gifts – this is so we can make sure we give the most appropriate gift to each person. We are happy to receive wrapping paper so we can wrap them ourselves\nPlease ensure the items are new – we have strict Infection Protection rules in place that we have to stick to so that we keep everyone safe\nPlease don’t take gifts directly to a ward or department. SUMMARY:Cheshire Virtuosi Concert in aid of MCH Charity
DESCRIPTION:Music from some of the greatest composers\nThe concert will feature music from some of the greatest composers\, including Louise Farrenc\, the only female teacher at the Paris Conservatoire\, and one of the first women to speak up for equal pay for women in 1850 – 50 years before the suffragettes and Emily Pankhurst. You will hear the nonet that gave her the acclaim to demand equal pay\, and succeed in getting it! \nWe will also perform the very rarely heard Nonet by Nino Rota\, composer of many great film scores including The Godfather.  Commissioned by the Czech Nonet and first performed in 1959\, this is a happy and highly virtuosic piece\, full of the vitality of truly great movie music. \nThe Tears of a Clown\, based on that fantastic 1970’s number one hit\, was recently scored for Nonet by British Horn player Peter Richards. Tears of a Clown arranged for Nonet was commissioned by Andrew Bassey\, bassoonist in Cheshire Virtuosi. The original by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles features bassoon in the opening and recurring riff. \nFinally you will hear another rarely heard piece\, the Duo for Bassoon and Double Bass by the shy and retiring\, yet extraordinarily talented Albert Roussel. This miniature was written as a gift for the amazing double bass virtuoso and conductor\, Serge Koussevitzky\, and it worked because Koussevitzky then programmed an Albert Roussel Symphony in his next season.

DESCRIPTION:57\,000 determined and dedicated runners make the Great North Run the world’s biggest and best half marathon – famous for its warm North East welcome\, unbeatable atmosphere and the millions raised for good causes. MCH Charity has 10 charity places and we’re looking for the right people to fill them! If you are interested in having one of our places please send an email to charity@mcht.nhs.uk to register your interest. Once the public ballot closes and all successful participants have been notified we will start the selection process for our own places. \nThere is a £45 registration fee and we ask our participants to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship.

SUMMARY:NHS Big Tea 2022
DESCRIPTION:Our much loved NHS Big Tea annual event is back and is bigger and better than ever! As part of Leighton Hospital’s 50th Anniversary year we’re aiming to have 50 tea parties held in support of the charity and we’d love you to be one of them! \nYou can pop the kettle on at home. Share a pot of tea with your colleagues. Take a flask outside with friends and family. Or rally the whole street with a brew\, biscuits\, and bunting! \nLarge or small\, your outpouring of love will help care for those who care for us. \n \nWe have lots of resources to make your event the best it can be. We love it when we can be part of your event\, so please make sure you share your photos and stories on our social media pages using the hashtag #NHSBigTea. \nAll funds raised this year in our name will support three areas which are very important to us and to our supporters. The first is our current campaign for Cancer Services which aims to raise £25\,000 to secure the hypnotherapy service and other much needed help for people living with a cancer diagnosis – find out more here \nOther areas which will receive money from this event include our children’s fund and will also be used to support staff wellbeing and patient experience.
