Two porters, John and Richard who work at Leighton hospital have teamed up with John's daughter Kim to take part in this year's North West Triathlon to raise funds for our appeal. The team who are tackling the relay race are all fitness enthusiasts who wanted to show their support for the appeal by doing something active and fun.
John said, 'I'm really looking forward to the Triathlon now and it's great that I get to do it with my daughter and friend. I've done quite a bit of fundraising for the charity through numerous running events so this will be a great new challenge for me.'
MCH Charity has limited reduced rate places available for the Triathlon in all events which include the Sprint, Super Sprint, Fun and Relay. We also have places for the Kids Duathlon which takes place on the day before the Triathlon on Saturday 21 September. Last year Jess (below) took part in the Duathlon to raise funds for our Neonatal Unit to help say thank you for the care they gave to her baby brother Leo. Alongside her dad and uncle they raised over £2,000 for the unit.
