Sunflower season is here!

When Alex and Simon Lewis were thinking of ways to thank the Neonatal unit which cared for their two children they came up with the idea of planting a sunflower field and inviting the public to visit.

Several years later and the field has grown into acres and welcomes hundreds of visitors throughout the summer to enjoy the beautiful flowers and explore the many other family friendly activities which have been added year on year.

Crewe Green Sunflowers are back open 10am - 5pm every day and are already seeing bumper numbers of families visiting to enjoy the smile inducing huge flowers.

Alex said, 'It started as a simple idea to try to raise some funds to thank the wonderful staff on NICU who cared for both our children.

The work they do day in day out both medically and emotionally is exceptional and we thank them each and every day for the care they gave to us all and the future they gave us together as a family.'

Since opening the trail the Lewis family have donated an incredible £ £25,714.05 to the unit and will be donating again this year at the end of the sunflower season.
