NHS CHARITY EVENT HELPS ATTENDEES BECOME ‘A BIT FAMOUS’

On Wednesday 3 March Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity held a fundraising webinar entitled ‘Make Yourself a Little Bit Famous’ led by former BBC business journalist and presenter on BBC Breakfast, News Channel, Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live, Penny Haslam.

Penny is the author of the business book, ‘Make Yourself a Little Bit Famous – How to power up your profile and get known for what you do’. During the interactive webinar Penny shared her tips and techniques to get known, liked and trusted no matter what sector of business you are part of.

The webinar held virtually via Zoom was attended by 25 people from across the charity and local business sectors. It was hosted by The Cat Radio Breakfast presenters Garry Johnson and Megan Lee.

Penny Haslam, Bit Famous Ltd said: ‘Fundraisers and business owners are really challenged right now – stuck at home like the rest of us and unable to see people face to face. So I’m very proud to have played a small part in supporting them with my talk on raising your profile and confidence on-camera, to engage and build rapport on video calls.’

Carole Salmon, MCH Charity Community Fundraiser said: ‘I read Penny’s book at the end of 2020 and her techniques have helped me in my role at Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity. After getting in touch to thank her she agreed to help support us to raise money for our Lost Little Ones appeal by delivering the webinar at no cost to the charity.’

Mid Cheshire Hospitals charity are keen to support more local fundraisers and businesses with their fundraising.
