Earlier this week we enjoyed hearing more about Penny and Kim’s epic Sandstone Trail challenge which they took on to raise funds for our Neonatal Unit at Leighton Hospital.
They chose to support the unit because Kim’s grandson was cared for there over 17 years ago and remarkably both members of staff in the photo worked on the unit back then!
Huge congratulations and thanks to Penny and Kim, who actually did well over the 34 miles distance because they kept getting lost and insisted that they returned to the correct spot on the map so as not to ‘cheat’!
They also brought in loads of beautifully knitted items and lovely treats for the staff to enjoy – what superstars!
